As a kid, my favorite game was Star Control II (@Dogar_And_Kazon @theurquanmaster). For the story, but mostly for the battle vibe. I've always wanted something like that, but an MMO. Which is what I was aiming for with my #vibejam game, Roko's Rebellion (sorry @RokoMijic)!

The only explanation for this tweet is that someone has invented AGI/ASI, and told it to "make money". To do so it is hacking twitter accounts and promoting slop. The alternative is too frightening to fathom.

An art bro's hatred of AI just sounds insane when you try and cast it in programming terms.
@ID_AA_Carmack AI creates by farming previously made work, remixes it, and passes it off as new. If someone used the Quake code wholesale, changed a few lines, and said it was original, that would deface the months of work you put into idtech2. That would be theft.

To facilitate party play in Roko's Rebellion you can set a "wavelength". Anyone in the galaxy with the same wavelength will see each other's location on the map ('Z') across space, and receive each other's chat messages, even when far away.
