Without religion in the background you really do have a freedom, more time, and a clearer mind to explore things on your own and to spend your energy on what feels genuinely meaningful.

Now I’m an atheist mom and my husband is a believer but we still don’t follow any rituals or prayers at home. Just like me my daughter is also growing up looking at everything with an open mind.

Coz of that space I ended up reading lot of books & exploring many religions on my own in search of some kind of spirituality. After yrs of reading & thinking i ended up solid atheist not because my mom didn’t teach me religion but coz books and my own inner search led me there.

My mom wasn’t an atheist but had a fulltime job and absolutely no time for rituals, pujas, or making us do religious chores. dad believer but always said faith should stay in ur heart and rituals don’t define anything. So I actually grew up in a home with no active religion.

expect Google doodles. They turn a day about their real struggles into a pity attention contest. So when women get annoyed it’s coming from pure exhaustion from men mocking feminism, men ignoring gender violence, men turning men’s day into “why no hype???”

And ironically men’s day does have serious issues to discuss suicide rates, depression & mental health, pressure to “be strong”, patriarchal expectations on men. But instead of addressing that many men complain nobody is celebrating them blame women for not organizing stuff

It’s literally about workplace discrimination, violence & safety, sexual harassment, domestic labor, representation, autonomy. But men don’t want to talk about any of that. They’d rather hand a woman a gift and say “be happy with this.”

and when women say organize it yourself. men hit back with the weirdest false equivalence 'don’t expect anything on Women’s Day then'. Women’s Day isn’t a festival. It’s not “Happy Women’s Day. women are mothers sisters daughters blah blah.”

When a man say “International men’s day. Silence”, he’s not talking about awareness but basically complaining that no one esp women is “celebrating” them. Men expect women to run the celebration, start the conversations, do the organizing. This is literally emotional labor.

I can’t stand the “chemicals are poison” people. “What did people do before synthetic medicines?” Ummm… died mostly from infections we cure in 24 hours today.

Having a child is not social duty it's a choice. Steady yourself 1st emotionally and financially like flight safety fix ur own oxygen mask 1st. Never create a life out of pressure only out of readiness and love.
