Yah, this absolutely was a violation of the county detainer policy which explicitly says they cannot “communicate with ICE” regarding someone’s release info. Despite all the press statements and hashtag advocacy, county officials are cowering to ICE and Trump if they allow this.

Last week, Ray Goins gave testimony at the City of San Jose budget hearing where the Mayor was pushing forward his "responsibility to shelter" policy that would allow for officers to arrest our houseless neighbors for refusing city-offered shelters for any reason.
