I am absolutely thrilled to announce that I have appointed @dizdarm as the ongoing Secretary for @NSWEducation. It is a priority to me to have a teacher leading the department - this valuable, grassroots knowledge is something you cannot learn without first-hand experience.

why are teachers leaving? my friday started at 06.30, & after bringing our adelaide excursion kids home, got home at 20.15 i spent 4 hours saturday & another 4 hours today (sunday) commissioning new laptops this is not unusual in a teachers life this is unsustainable

@johnqgoh It should be a “the system is letting down students and teachers” story. “Record funding” should be “record inequitable distribution of funding that fails students from the most vulnerable backgrounds”.
