“Restorative justice” and associated policies like diversion and cashless bail is essentially betting the lives of normal people to give infinite redos to criminals. We will never have safe, clean public services or infrastructure so long as these policies exist.
I have confirmed that Decarlos Brown Jr. was released on NO CASH BAIL in January of 2025, despite being diagnosed with schizophrenia. He allegedly called 911 to tell the operators he had, "A man-made material in his body which was controlling his actions...” They let him go.

My friend’s 88 year old uncle's San Jose Jewelry Store was robbed on Fri 9/5 at 2pm. They ran a truck through the store and then pushed him down. He was injured by broken glass and then had a stroke. @MattMahanSJ you’ve done a lot for SJ but still more criminals to be locked up.
