Always remember that a smart generalist who has read up on an issue + talked to a bunch of experts probably has a better sense of whatever the issue is than the most qualified experts + can take real action, unencumbered by the burden of being "an expert on the issue".
The establishment has been so mired in hopelessness that the fact someone would say “I have read twenty five books on the subject in preparation for my assignment, I feel that I have achieved some understanding, and I see a way forward” was held up for ridicule.

am working on a pretty complicated google spreasheet. asked gemini in the sidebar to help me. gemini got confused and then after clarification spilled a bunch of bullshit. asked the same thing of chatgpt, it figured out exactly what i was asking and gave me the answer one shot..
