Too often music is forgotten about under the broad heading of "culture" or "the arts" as vast parts of it have to beg drinks brands to facilitate event activity, and so on. This is unhealthy in various ways. If Govt wants to support events + venues, it must dig much deeper.

Of course it should. Visibility of flagship events like EP is important. RTÉ is the public service broadcaster, and should budget accordingly. Is part of a wider conversation on developing a music strategy that values careers in music, supports event + venue sustainability, etc.

Needs to be reconsidered. Not that it shouldn't be mixed use, but the proposed mix is wrong. There's been much talk about "meanwhile use" in Dublin. This is a great opportunity to experiment but won't really be possible with big brand retail or office leaseholds from the start.
