Islam on the whole is a religion of modesty and moderation. hijab is just ONE aspect and at no point does Islam shame women for their bodies as a reason to cover up. it's simply a practice of modesty and religious devotion.
The hijab is not based on the idea that a woman’s body is sinful. That just goes to show me you know nothing about Islam. Please educate yourself before you spread misinformation. Feel free to be an atheist, no one’s stopping you, but stop speaking on Islam if you’re ignorant.

personally i was extremely disappointed by his very sanitized and overly neutral statements back in November, especially because so much of his music directly speaks to the impacts of colonialism. he’s doing more than most but i still find his public statements lacking.
