What a day at @The_RHS Tatton Flower Show! A Gold medal for our Floral Marquee display (first 12/12 judging score too :-) ) and the visitors loved our Moongate Garden. The show is packed with inspiration - open till Sunday. Hope you can make it....

Inspired by @BotanyRocks , I bought an Aero propagator a month ago. The results are astonishing... Styrax, Edgeworthia, Abelia, Cornus kousa, Cornus controversa, Heptacodium, Acers - all callousing, showing root initials or rooting within three weeks.

I had a quick scoot round @The_RHS Tatton Show this afternoon - got to say, it looks superb. 10 show gardens - all to a very high standard, the 'ginnel' gardens, community gardens and so many innovate long borders that I lost count! Hope to see you there...

So it seems that if you make a mark within the box against a candidate's name, even if that 'mark' is clearly intended to be rude or negative, it will count. If, however, the drawing is partly outside the box it will not count. So, now you know....

None of the TV pundits seem to understand how constituency targeting works. They see averages and polls, but they don't take into account the door-to-door, long term, consistent communication that makes the difference. Voters turn out for candidates who listen to them.

Brighton Pavillion hold - @sianberry gets 55% of the vote! That's four Green MPs. Well done @CarolineLucas - you built that groundwork over 14 years of hard groundwork.

I'm scanning through the election results, mostly to see how many Green candidates have kept their deposits. It's a big deal for a party with no big backers to find £300k for deposits, only to lose most of them on a 4.5% vote. Good too see plenty have kept them :-)

I think the @bbc messed up there - they cut to Brighton Kemptown for a predictable Labour hold. Think they thought they were going to Brighton Pavillion for @sianberry 's contest...

Noting that apart from Lee Anderson who flipped to Reform, the other three Reform wins are, quite literally, geographically marginal. These voters will feel ignored and have voted accordingly. Levelling up investment can win them back.
