Successful Belfast challenges the city to think in a different way about civic involvement. It is an initiative of Belfast Buildings Trust.
Belfast, Northern Ireland
Joined September 2016
It’s been a journey with lots of passionate people who care about Belfast, its people, and how its cultural life is central to its future. For us, that journey started with @thebelfastopera in 2016 and a @ChurchillFship in 2017, and proud to have played a part in getting to this!

Thrilled to see the policy and practical learning from the Ormeau Parklet being rolled out across Belfast! Key challenge for us is how we make delivery happen more quickly. Should be more than two Parklets when you see what Montreal or Cork or [insert other city] have done.
Spoke with LQ BID's Chris McCracken and Nichola Mallon about the challenges involved in realising these projects. Consensus is things will move faster now the first one is over the line (via @irishnewsbiz)

Everyone needs to be involved in shaping a successful Belfast. People are the real experts in their places, so very excited that this will look at how partnerships built around exploring everyday activity can shape bigger changes in our places.
Very thrilled that some of us involved in @theAoU in NI are able to deliver the message that “Everyone is an urbanist”. Excited to hear from @vamberg_h of @citiesforpeople, @rog_projects, @StarlingStart, @AislingRusk, @BrendanMoore4 about placemaking from the ground up!

Ever been to a gig in Belfast? Or listened to an act busking in the city centre? If you’re in any way interested in music in Belfast, whether as an audience member or someone involved in Belfast’s music community, this is your way to help inform and shape future plans.
We are still looking for your thoughts! Help to shape the recovery plan for our music scene - if you have already completed it we'd appreciate a RT so we can gather more opinions 🙏
