In the past month, ten states and the District of Columbia have made movement on the issue of #openprimaries, negative and positive. In Ohio, Colorado, and more we see legislators challenging the people's will constantly in an effort to make elections easier for them.

At this point I’m in favor of just about anything that breaks the two party system. Splinter it. Sledgehammer it. I don’t care. The stranglehold the Democrats and Republicans have on this country must come to an end for anything to meaningfully improve.

Last week, we narrowly dodged a government shutdown pushed by the #ChaosCaucus. Yet chaos reigns in the House after they voted to remove Speaker Kevin McCarthy. This highlights the ongoing #PrimaryProblem.

Partisanship has made history. Bi-partisanship can also get you "primaried," similar to McCarthy's oust from Speakership, where you can get outside from roles if you're not extreme enough. We can solve this with #openprimaries. @OpenPrimaryUSA

There is a problem when news outlets talk more about @SpeakerMcCarthy's future in the GOP after this week than the bi-partisan efforts being made to avoid a government shutdown. Just another side effect of #ThePrimaryProblem.
