This advice will help 80% of people improve their customer interviews: Focus less on asking the questions and more on listening and responding. It's a 'discussion framework' not 'a list of questions'.

Research Findings = Analysis Research Insights = Synthesis

Any design post containing "the real world" is an instant red flag to me. Why? Generally it indicates an anti-theory or anti-academic position. Theory enables new practices to evolve and develop. Your 'real world' is a tiny slice of something bigger. Success requires praxis.

I'm somebody who often doesn't get things on the first pass. I know people who read information and it just clicks. I have to approach a subject from many different angles. Often repeatedly. Finally I piece things together. Is it just me or does this happen for you as well?

Somebody posted an amazingly marked-up copy of this book on LI. I felt fully inspired to get back into it. It's not an easy read, but it's certainly a rewarding one. Anyone who says Boyd is only about the (tactical) OODA loop and not strategy is off their rockers. 🤯

Making shit happen. For people you want to support and believe in. In a space where you believe there's a need. That's leadership.

I agree with this 💯 But. It's VISUAL or DIGITAL or UX designers. What absolutely grinds my gears on this website. Whenever 'design' is mentioned on twitter it's some sort of reductionist visual design related to screens. Fashion designers aren't talking about Figma.
