Designers try Lovable, hit a wall, and conclude "it's impossible to build a real product with AI". Here's proof. Soon you'll ship to production too, like Intercom designers do. Don’t use just prototyping tools, practice heavier tools - Cursor, Claude Code (or even Replit).

To designers who say “you can’t vibe-code a production-ready product”: I built anymark .co with @Replit (not affiliated). Is it beautiful? No. Is it bug-free? No. Does it have paying, happy customers? Yes.

It's crazy how many designers on Upwork have stolen work in their portfolios. Always do a reverse image search before hiring anyone from there.

Any designers who have unused lettermarks sitting in their archives? I'd like to license a few icons like that in bulk (attached some references)

I reduced my costs of designing and building with AI by 10x. The solution is - becoming more technical. I spent $2500 on tokens with Lovable, v0, Bolt, Replit, Cursor, etc. They use the same LLM models and charge premium for convenience (easier setup = higher price). For

Design career gratitude Not many professions offer what designers have: 1. You work with interesting people. 2. You can work on innovative products. 3. You may work directly with founders and get to learn from them. 4. You didn’t need top grades at school to get your degree.

An influencer with 8k followers claims he vibe-coded this app and now has 2,000 paying customers. The only problem - it's *my* product, and I have no idea who he is 😬

Want to grow as a designer? Read career guides for engineers. Swap “engineer” for “designer” - 99% of the advice still applies. In career planning, collaboration, and politics, designers aren't unique in most of their struggles. But there are ~10x more engineers and as a

Why I’m super skeptical about supplements: I did blood and gut microbiome tests. 10+ markers were off. Took 13 supplements daily. Retested until everything was “normal.” Felt *zero* difference between having 10+ markers off and being perfectly in range.

One reason flat design took off: it lowered the barrier to creating apps. UI design was hard, making a mobile app icon was practically an art form. Now that AI makes complex visuals easier, it's easier for skeuomorphism to be brought back.

Designers hope taste will stay their edge in the future. Mainly because it keeps them in their comfort zone. Easier to keep focusing on pixels than face KPIs, OKRs, people, and politics.

Timeline of a designer’s AI denial: 1. These texts sound too robotic. I’d never use this in my mockup. 2. She has 6 fingers, what a joke 3. It can’t even put text on the image. 4. OK, it can build a simple prototype, mine are more complex tho 5. Yeah, I can prototype, but it

We did something crazy - we launched HUNDREDS of billboards for @Typesense across San Francisco! When I first visited SF in the late 2000s, what stood out to me were all the billboards from tech companies. Until then I had only seen billboards from random lifestyle brands, and
