If I wake up in the morning saying “I feel like I was hit by a semi,” know that I mean this 100% literally. #illbehereallweek P.S. I’m fine and the driver of the semi is fine. Praise God I walked away from this and am able to hug my daughter again.

"Authors don't buy that many books. Don't market to other authors, market your books to readers." Is an interesting statement. I think many of us indie authors are, perhaps unintentionally, marketing to each other. That said, I've bought a lot of indie titles since joining X.

Today I saw one of my students reading my literal least fav book I’ve ever forced myself to finish and I asked how she was liking it and she said it was pulling her out of a reading slump and she loves it so much. Book taste is so subjective friends ❤️

Query update: For my first batch of queries, I sent out 8. So far I have received 6 rejections, 0 full/partial requests, and waiting on 2. I have researched my next batch of 10 agents and will send out a new wave of queries as soon as I hear back from my editor. 🤞🤞🤞
