Canes could easily start the season with this group, an improvement over last year's team. PuckPedia has the Canes at $84.8M with this roster. That leaves about $10.6M left to make further upgrades. Expect Dr. Tulsky to weave more magic before he is done. This is exciting!

Just as I said that, word came out from Kevin Weekes that Ehlers is signing with the Canes. This is one time I will be ecstatic to be wrong!.
@ZachCaniac My suspicion is that you are correct & Ehlers will sign elsewhere. I think things will quiet down on the Canes front for a while to let all the dust settle. GMET has plenty of time to shore up 2C & add more scoring.

Great to see this move. Jost was very effective in his role last year for the Canes & adds depth at all forward positions. @AvsCanesFan was calling for this move by the Canes in a recent stormTRacker Podcast.

If Canes can add Ehlers, along with K'Andre Miller, that will be great start to the summer for the Canes. GM Eric Tulsky would still have cash available for more moves.

No surprise on Morrow. @AvsCanesFan has been predicting this for some time (stormTRacker Podcast). Canes are incredibly deep with D-man prospects, he had value, & he was expendable. To leverage him along with picks to acquire Miller was some fancy footwork by Mr. Tulsky.
Rangers are getting conditional first and second plus right defenseman Scott Morrow from Canes in exchange for K'Andre Miller, Post has been told.
