history doesn't repeat, but it rhymes. smelling an incoming $pengu reversal. bought more at 0.0065. study the late 2016 pump in altcoins, the giga nuke early 2017 and the reversal into Q2 that year.

absolutely brilliant article on nfts as status assets. reading it really helped me understand (and reflect on) my own ambitions when collecting. can highly recommend the framework presented.
Nearly two weeks late, but just finished drafting some extensive thoughts arising from @punk6529’s epic thread on why NFTs are the scarcest, rarest and most apex tokens in crypto. Lots of discourse about NFT rarity, but we should remember that rarity is just one of many factors.

if you play the memecoin game you either have to flip short lived trends (very stressful) or manage to pick the handful coins that have some kind of larger momentum. but even then you cant get complacent. it's not impossible, but you need to understand that the rules have changed.

murad's thesis is correct, but currently it applies best to coins that didn't even exist half a year ago. #fartcoin getting the media and tradfi attention that spx/thicker bitcoin predicted. $pengu reaching a whole new group of buyers behind an iconic crypto native ip 5/6.

the one coin that didn't retrace completely went through multiple 70/80 percent corrections, which is a mind and body destroying thing to witness every other months. i completely underestimated how the attention economy just ruthlessly moves on, and on and on, in perpetuity 4/6.

i was deep in the memecoin trenches from day 1 this cycle and i've witnessed prior memecoin cycles. i proceeded to roundtrip more or less everything i bought from April 23 until Oct 24. including the odd 100x. everything prior cycles had taught me was getting me rekt 3/6.

and then sell during mania phase. however the past cycle trend coins were somehow all limited. it didn't matter much if you bought link or zap any of the other useless oracle tokens in 20/21. it didn't matter much which of the fresh l1s you bought. this cycle *is* different 2/6.

some reflections on this cycle so far and going forward. historically you'd do very well in crypto buying some legacy alts during the bear and additionally the respective flavour of the cycle (anonymity/smart contracts in 16/17, oracle/defi in 20, nfts last cycle etc 1/6.

a year ago I made the most expensive purchase of my life. people around me thought I had lost my mind. but I knew I was buying the symbol of the resilience of pudgy penguins. today that conviction paid off. thank you @LucaNetz, @chefgoyardi & the whole huddle for all your work

honestly, @LucaNetz is as real as it gets. despite likes being private now and him being as busy as one can be in this space, he still takes time to support peng related posts of small accounts. stuff like that doesn't get unnoticed by the community.
