4) Handling different years.What if you pick a date that is in a different year? How can we make it clear that it’s not May 29 (next week) but May 29, 2026 (one year away)? What we chose to do here is display month + year and drop the day. So, if you set a due date for May 29,.

3) More human day formats.For due dates that are one week out or less, we show days of the week because it’s much easier to understand. For example, May 29 is next Thursday but most people would have to look at a calendar to confirm that. Instead, we convert this to “Thursday,”

2) Date format.Europeans use day/month (23 May) while Americans use month/day (May 23). What to do? We decided to tailor it to where you live based on where you’re accessing the internet from. Europeans see dates in their expected format and Americans do too. You can change this.
