Really, @elonmusk? All I ever see on here is a never ending stream of shit posts, trolls, and bots. Outside people I follow, I'm lucky if 1/100(0?) posts are insightful or informative or of journalistic quality. This is not how it should work at all.

I swear after 15 years at Google my main value at this point is just maintaining historical knowledge :).
The downside of building your own in-house infrastructure at the scale of Google is when the original authors leave/retire, people cannot connect the dots back to the original ideas and tradeoffs. It causes wrong assumptions and decisions in the long tail.

The oh so beautiful irony here is that @elonmusk is doing exactly what the original source of this warns against. This type of "observation" is very much based on a distorted reality.
Interesting. My observation is that there is far more vicious animosity directed against the right by the left than vice versa. The right just thinks the left is misguided, but the left has foaming-at-the-mouth hatred of the right.

Not that it makes me a good manager, but yeah, I let individuals decide on their 1:1 schedules. If there's something *I* need to discuss I'll set up a separate meeting. But the daily/weekly/bi-weekly/monthly/whatever 1:1s are their time/agenda.
Unpopular opinion but most good managers, when they know you and trust you, lower the frequency of 1:1s and allow you to book as you go.

Somehow it feels like a dad win that my 9yo daughter picked @letsgameitout videos to watch tonight :).
