Indeed. There has been an important goal of the settler community. Oct 7 made the arguments made in 2005 in opposition to withdrawal from Gaza more potent and salient.

Folks don't pay careful enough attention to what Netanyahu has said publicly since October 2023 about Gaza and the reagion. It is often dismissed as bluster or "complexified." The fact is, he is often being straightforward.

The Houthis are murderers, pirates, destroyers of the Red Sea environment, disrupters of aid & trade flows to their neighbors, the gravest current danger to freedom of navigation, a core US interest. I don’t see the logic of the ceasefire Trump agreed to with this terrorist org.
