Something that Tanya Talaga said a couple of weeks ago that hasn’t left me: when you think of Murray, think of the weight of hearing thousands of accounts of untold horror, and the toll it would take on your body. Think of taking that on.

"Las Meninas" is one of the most revolutionary (and mysterious) paintings in history. At first glance it might not be obvious why. But when you notice its little details, everything unravels… (thread) 🧵

Ontario pharmacists have conduced more than 1-million minor ailment assessments so far. But unlike with doctors, OHIP funding goes to the pharmacy, not the pharmacist, leading to concerns that private companies have gained backdoor access to public healthcare cash. #onpoli

Today was an amazing day. I’ve never thought this would happen: to speak my language in Ontario Legislature. Meegwetch for the support.

What a day to work at the legislature! Proud of @solmamakwa and my coworkers who made this historic day happen - allowing indigenous languages to be spoken and transcribed in the house. This is decolonization in action. Now other gov’ts must follow suit #onpoli #cdnpoli

Preferred pharmacy (& provider) network arrangements never benefit the public. They remove accessibility while prioritizing profits. This is a terrible precedent. It is always presented as ‘cost savings/discounts’ but there is no evidence to show benefit to public, only barriers.
