#JaniceColwell .🧠 remember that a diverting loop ileostomy is higher in the small bowel and with less surface area for absorption, patient is at risk for high output and dehydration. Expectations should be set on monitoring oral intake, urine output, stoma output, etc.#AIBD2022.
