i'm a self-taught curator and want to share a few things on artists that have made a huge impact on my life in the art world.
i've adopted my own opinions solely from grinding and researching art 24/7 for the past 8 years. 4 traditionally and 4 in digital art/web3.
i just…
ask yourself....will I care about this artwork if the artist releases 10 more series?
if your answer is no then you probably shouldn't buy it.
if your answer is yes then you are probably betting on the artist and their career.
for almost every artist in this space.....creating…
It is amazing to see
@tylerxhobbs
get his respect and we’ll-deserved recognition in the traditional art world.
He is a very special artist no matter the medium he creates in.
The
@weareunitlondon
show was insane!
Big things coming🦾 looking forward to
@PaceGallery
We are entering the age of what I will call infinite art.
New stuff consistently every day.
Some ideas will be formed and executed over years, months, days, minutes, and now seconds.
It will become increasingly more difficult to know what is good or genuine.
Buy art you love!
RIP Frank Stella! One of the first artists I learned about and admired! Was always fascinated with the dimensionality, technical approach to printmaking, and scale of his work. To meet him was crazy for me as a lot of the artists I grew up learning about are no longer alive. Will…
I’m so thrilled with how my diptych turned out!
Very symmetrical and the color palette is amazing!
Thank you

I listened to

and it was fucking awesome.
The complexity of the CyberBroker contract🤯
Highly technical but amazing coverage on file optimization, smart-contracts, and past projects.
My baby is out in the world😭❤️. Thank you so much for everyone who has supported me in any measure. Even just a conversation. Years of building ideas, analyzing, developing my values, and pouring my soul into art. This is just the start🙏🥹
being present in this space since 2020 even though I'm usually quiet or lurking around has challenged me to understand and grow in a lot of ways including😃🫣:
It’s that time again! Super excited for the collection we have curated for this years show.

Unveiling Our Artist Lineup for Art Miami, December 5th - 10th
We are thrilled to announce our distinguished lineup of artists who will be featured at this year’s Art Miami. Join us soon for an extraordinary showcase.
i'm not afraid to look back on artists work that i once disliked (or didn't understand) and gain a new appreciation for it.

Missed the mint due to bots but it was probably a blessing in disguise.
This one really struck a chord for me!
Congratulations
@mpkoz
on a beautiful algo!
Excited to see what’s next for

the blue background. the free-standing structure positioned perfectly in the middle. the altered dimensionality to create a juxtapose of shapes from different vantage points. a trick on your eyes. an illusion. the precision and subtle color swaps.

few thoughts on selling art in today's blockchain art market:
the reason people like attention based art is because there is a window to make short-term profit usually a really tight one.
i by no means care to short-term trade my art which usually deflects me from these sorts…
we need more critical conversations.
we need more people who aren't afraid to be wrong.
we need to challenge each others thoughts and ways of doing things.
this is what makes art, art.
if you are working on your career in the arts then you have my ear.
if you make a compelling piece of art or a collection then you have my eye.
the key to success is to catch more listeners than viewers.
make *enough* compelling work to turn your viewers into listeners.…
NFTs have so much room to grow internally within crypto.
NFTs have so much room to grow externally outside of crypto.
There are so many audiences to capture.
Your next collector may be around the corner!
Unpopular opinion:
I dislike when I hear people describe artists in this space as a “Crypto Artist” or “NFT Artist”.
To me, It’s the equivalent of saying a “Canvas Artist” or “US Dollar Artist”.
The tools and mediums in which you create doesn’t need to be labeled as such.
thanks for the quick response Cath and i agree that is how most people in this space think.
this post is in response to "scarcity is so important to most artists and collectors."
i want to address some questions i have regarding supply, demand, and how scarcity can be a mental…
I didn't think it was possible for me to shake the nerves but I successfully collected a NonceStratum.
What a beautiful collection, Zeblocks never disappoints.
A much clearer picture of my diptych!
When I saw this output I fell in love and it’s now twice as amazing.
Nothing “rare” about it other than the warm, fuzzy feeling I get inside when looking at it.
Going to look epic in print format.
My ambitions in this space are largely tied to the artists creating here.
Innovating is always top of mind.
Deep research influences my qualitative analysis.
I want to be known for my publishing and support.

Gotta watch them render live. The movement adds a richness to the composition. I particularly like pulling the live image and stretching the canvas to watch small beams roll by.

the biggest issue with collecting art is that you always want more.
i like to collect multiple artworks from one artist before collecting something from everybody.
my collection often tells a story, one that is personal to me.

This space is so odd or maybe it is just me.
Something will sell for 100k+ and people will say welp FREE as if 6 figures isn't a lot of money or that's not a good result.
or maybe i'm just tired of the constant jokes.

Publishing artwork is by far the most rewarding part of my job!
There is so much care and love that goes into the process.
I embed my DNA in these projects, nothing noticeable but both the artist and I know it is present.
I try to get every artist to think a bit differently,…

timeline is usually filled with bad actors.
but today i hope all you good actors come across this post and smile.
keep grinding especially all you lovely artists out there!
The collection is growing. Super happy with the ones I’ve gotten so far. What a beautiful and diverse algo. The message and the imagery is important. We get so caught up in many things that don’t really matter. We should all come together and ‘Elevate Heart’. Bravo

Getting the opportunity to mint via AL should be viewed more as a privilege than an opportunity.
Artists work so damn hard to make art and create offerings.
If you flip such thing immediately after minting, I would go out of my way to make sure you didn’t get the next AL.
what's happening now is very interesting.
a lot of artists are trying to figure out what is the best path to their own definition of success!

the blockchain art community needs to come together and stop calling unique artworks derivatives.
if you are inspired by an artist....your work can still be original.

I mean this is just insane! Licia is such a great artist! This work breathes so much life into what gen art is and can become. It's truly a work of art and magnificent to be able to see this get painted in real-time.
there are no rules in art.

it's largely due to the way that information flows here through these art communities.

Yes, this is my 3rd time at the show. But there is something special about taking in art alone with no noise, allowing yourself to be immersed in the paintings. Surreal experience.
interesting times where artists are thrilled to be included in auctions.
be careful what you wish for...
a lot of people are going to find out how important it is to build a solid foundation in your PRIMARY market.
my thinking is constantly around sustainability and viability.
Days like this where everyone is arguing if 1+1=2 feels like we’ve taken no steps forward and a few steps back.
The art community has to band together and focus on what matters.
I promise you there is no genie who can predict the future and be certain what the best approach is.
Most importantly he’s creating a visual language that is his own. You can feel the blood, sweat, and tears through a lifetime of creating emerge through every series. The work speaks by itself and the level of innovation he’s set for himself has already reached an extremely high…
