An extraordinary book by Andy McNab. The passage that deals with Vinceโs death I can still remember. A slow inexorable death by the sub zero temperatures at night. No proper kit to keep warm. Lest we forget as stated. ๐๐ฝ

Sorry to hear about the death of Mark Tully. Anyone who worked in India for the BBC instantly became the beneficiary of his wisdom, kindness, humour and, above all, reputation. In India Mark Tully was the BBC. An absolute giant.

The Trump disbelief that the Norwegian govt doesn't control the Nobel process is deeply indicative of his thinking. He can't conceive that an institution could (or should) be genuinely independent of coercion or political power. That's the change he represents.
