@friedberg does a phenomenal job explaining the role of Mitochondria and how its dysfunction can be the root cause of many complex diseases like cancer. 100% agree that it's poised to become a field with many breakthroughs! I'm working on one of them 👀.

Diet and exercise are the easiest to prescribe, yet hardest to follow - because it requires the highest will power. That's why drugs are the preferred modality for making any changes.

For people in their 30s, if your parents aren't in the best physical and mental health - this is the best possible window to encourage them to make changes. They still have capacity to improve such that their 70s and 80s (your 40s/50s) will be mutually enriching.

Hot take: most posts with "hot take" in the beginning are useless. Yes, I see the irony 😂.

How close are we to having an exercise pill? We already have one. It's called exercise.

Two observations. 1. We just found the next cosmetic drug that's going to overtake Botox by a wide margin. 2. This might actually become THE longevity drug.

Zohran "little muhammad" Mamdani is an antisemitic, socialist, communist who will destroy the great City of New York. He needs to be DEPORTED. Which is why I am calling for him to be subject to denaturalization proceedings. Attached is my letter to @AGPamBondi.

People forget that millennials and gen Z are going to inherit the largest wealth transfer in modern history - within the next 10 years from boomers. Sure, this cohort, may see to harbor socialist beliefs now, but once they own significant assets, their politics changes quickly.

We've had far less humans in the past (at some point even got close to getting wiped out due to disease), and we still managed to get to the present. So why now, when we are the most technologically sophisticated is this a concern ? I'm genuinely curious.

my favorite reaction to this is: “well let’s just fix it.”. lol. it’s not fixable. the problem isn’t low birthrates, it’s that the forces driving them are self reinforcing. economic uncertainty, cultural nihilism, hyperindividualism, & infinite digital dopamine loops. all.

I get the rage about micro plastics, but given how long we've lived with plastic, we all likely have high levels of it in our body. What's the point of raging about this when we don't have a safe way to eliminate this from our body? Eliminating plastic is not going to work.

Wrong outlook. Zohran won because of vibes against boomers. Do not continue to bet on Millennials being socialists. Even if they are now, they won't be within the next decade, because they will inherit the largest wealth transfer ever. Watch them become libertarian very quickly.

To all founders, if you don't treat founding a company like playing a sport - prioritizing training, sleep, diet, and mental health, you've already lost.

"Designer babies" was a bioethics class prompt to spark debate, and now it's reality. My advice for companies in this field: don't "move fast and break things." Slow is fast here. The slightest misstep will invite disproportionate pushback (rightfully so).

Longevity is now for embryos. Nucleus Embryo is the first-ever genetic optimization software that helps parents give their children the best possible start in life — long before theyre even born. Longevity was never just about health. It’s about thriving. That’s why this

Even if the benefits are "small", prescribing exercise to patients who are capable, seems like a good decision as a supplement to the drugs, and very little risk/cost to the healthcare system. The time of day will be trickier, because infusion times will be a bottleneck.

ASCO had two interesting data releases. 1. Exercise seems to improve survival in cancer patients. 2. The time of day of infusion (in the morning) seems to improve immunotherapy efficacy. Sleep and Exercise yet again show there's a there there. 👇.
