⭐️ @sprangaa and I had the joy of presenting about our @russellleaps approach to building a professional growth culture yesterday at the #growthcultures24 masterclass. Thank you @SimonBreakspear and @teacherhead for the opportunity to share (even though it was pretty scary!)

If you and your team can make a meaningful and sustainable contribution in 1-2 challenging areas over 1-3 years, that is remarkable and praiseworthy work. Being drawn into 20 different areas will result in change fatigue and little to no impact. Do less but better.

The same question needs to be asked of Primary Schools. Zero risk culture has unforeseen impacts on child wellbeing and capability.
Outdoor educator Lukas Ritson says it's important for educators to explain hazards and intervene before a child gets hurt, but it's also about pausing before intervening. https://t.co/7bxsb9AEPr (via @abcnews)

Parents send us the best kids they have -- the ones they love the most. When we’re mindful of that… we can be a little more patient, a little more tender, and a little more compassionate.

@DavidCampbell73 I’m not sure if you caught #BackToNatureAU on the ABC tonight, it’s a beautiful series to watch (it’s on iview), soothing for the soul, and after this news and the lockdown, we need it. Hopefully it will spark that protectiveness in us to look after our Country and the world 💚🌿

With this in mind, I have found success using Minecraft as a tool for creative writing. Our Stage 3 students created sizzling starts based on my experience in a Minecraft world. https://t.co/adv8sy1hRQ

Getting students engaged at home can be a challenge. Trying new things and experimenting with ways to improve online interactivity and enjoyment for our students is key.

5/5 interest that is productive. Their worst idea might end up being more productive than your superior idea. Teaching is complex work and schools exist for a reason. Being a parent and a teacher is difficult. Be kind to yourself and flexible with your child.

4/5 about learning. Thirdly they need some autonomy. Children learn best when they see learning as something they are doing for themselves rather than for the adults around them. Provide autonomy when it is needed by stepping back and letting them run with a thought, activity or
