Anyway reminder that bluesky is mostly where I'm posting now days, so best place to see more progress on this little prototype!

Little gif showing depth sorting, wall destruction, and my simple LCD shader. Not my plan for this prototype, but basically have the level tech for a nice looking Bomberman clone. Next up is proper movement code with animations and wall collisions.

I've also been working on a solid tile pipeline for Aseprite -> GameMaker. I can edit a small subset of tiles, it'll show me a sample map while I work, and I can spit out all the files I need with correct names in a single export, then add them to the game with one line of code.

I've also started working on a little prototype. Yesterday I worked on tile stuff, I can now edit a simple version of a map in the GameMaker room editor and it'll generate the nice version using a tile set with proper depth sorting etc.
