many years ago a friend gave me a Powerbook G3 "Mainstreet" with running licensed copies of Stratavision 3D (the software used to make the original Myst renders) recently fixed the machine, upgraded the ram to 512 (maximum) always fascinating to see "early" 3d software

soviet consulate's roof is based on the spires on the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood. these were originally going to be glass bulbs with internal grids/cathodes/anodes/filaments, as homage to soviet tube manufacturing. but I found the design too busy, so they're opaque.
