probably one of the most fascinating technical talks i've ever heard.
[1/2] My @BetterSoftwareC talk is up! It's called "The Big OOPs: Anatomy of a Thirty-Five Year Mistake". I went through a mountain of historical documents to put this beast together. Only a small fraction of my research could be featured directly in the talk. .

very excited to see more zig x ethereum! got to chat with @caymannan in person and it was the first time I got to geek out over zig in a conversation w/ someone else in crypto.
Our next chapter: Transitioning from a pure JS client focused on browser compatibility to a performance-first, hybrid @JavaScript + @ziglang architecture. TL;DR: We're rewriting core modules in Zig and switching to @bunjavascript as our primary runtime:.

seeing many praises for zuberlin on the TL but hearing anecdotes and stories from friends who volunteered who found it to be poorly managed and disappointing. besides speakers being charged, charging €650 for volunteers to feel unappreciated and to do work is wild.
ZuBerlin is the Fyre Festival of crypto:. 1. Tickets are €950 even for speakers .2. There is hardly any food .3. No AC only small fans .4. Only a few rooms . I’m all for community organized conferences but €950 to give a talk and do a panel for half a day is out of control.

onboarding the masses is a meme. we don’t need more apps we need more believers.
so I've been thinking about this for a while now and I'm more and more convinced that crypto was never meant for mainstream. The main reason being that crypto's purpose is _liberation_, not popularity. It's effectively for those who choose sovereignty over simplicity. If it never.
