this is the way- i think spectra exists in dialogue with a number of games, some current, many old, but the vast majority of what makes its identity comes from hundreds of books, films, people, and real historical events.

I kind of deeply resent a game being made by ubisoft calling itself "indie" like its on the same plane as me, who makes games alone in my apartment after working a day job.
