Why we follow Great Men An answer to self-proclaimed self-thinkers who don't tire of calling us "cucks" for quoting and referencing past geniuses. ⬇️URL⬇️

Of course leftists never realized that feeling pity for a tortured horse doesn't contradict Nietzsche's works. Pity can't be controlled, you can't choose to feel it. But you can build your morality around it - and that is what Nietzsche protested against. A society that abolishes

The "Nietzsche hugged a horse" story is the first of many bizarre leftist revenge porn stories against him. Another one is the novel "The Sea-Wolf", in which an Übermensch-like captain goes blind and is then dependent on the good will of his former ship mates.

Though the genealogy is quite funny. Richard Wagner was a great admirer of Schopenhauer and sent him his draft of Ring des Nibelungen. Schopenhauer disliked it. Tolkien, in turn, was very likely inspired by Wagner, although he denied that.

Would Schopenhauer have liked the Lord of the Rings? I doubt it. Moralistic stories aren't classical - they emerged during the 19th century, during romanticism. Before that, (psychological) tragedies were considered the highest art.
Schopenhauer on what makes a good story: "Shakespeare wished to show in the mirror of poetry men, not moral caricatures"

Such religious babble gets hit with the uniqueness-denying Nolte-stare.
the holocaust specifically is a cosmic horror event, the image of an industrially organized racial genocide, a culmination of the miracles of logistics and scientific management for the purpose of total extermination is a unique blight on history. it’s hard to pretend otherwise

One thing I find pretty disgusting about Americans is that the vast majority are atheists by either self-identification or behavior, but every single one is eager to take on the country preacher attitude and start inveighing about how their political enemies will burn in hell.

Tolkeinslop: preservation of the status quo; mere domestic life of a hobbit in an underhill longhouse; Saruman's Faustian drive portrayed as evil Martin's magnum opus: "the human heart in conflict with itself"; a Great Russian Novel placed in fantasy setting

Yeah, well, it's a stupid answer. Power can only be expressed against other power and obstacles. The truly powerful delights in opposition, which is why the Romans never imposed their universal rules on their subjects.

My case for why Lord of the Rings is LEFT-WING: - There is a good-evil dichotomy. This is an absolute truth from the outset. Tolkien obviously took this from Christianity, which sabotaged real European psychology. Before Christianity, no one in Europe judged in terms of good and
I counter: Game of Thrones is a quite mundane exploration of court intrigue and power games Lord of the Rings is at a level of abstraction above power politics Tolkien lived through Industrialised Trench warfare where both sides asked: “How can a little rural hobbit fit into

We should occupy Weimar and turn it into another city of fire, like Fiume. I propose BAP as Duce. Read The Fire and the Sea btw.

I remember when some guest of his introduced the eternal recurrence to Joe Rogan. Rogan, being the orc that he is, couldn't understand why there was no "learning experience" involved. He was scared of that thought experiment.

It's a stupid and literal visualization of a letter of Nietzsche to Jacob Burckhardt, where he wrote: "I've been two times to my own burial." Nietzsche should have a towering sculpture on some mountain top, in perpetual sunlight and ice-cold winds.
why are there two other Nietzsches casually watching on? 'the two starmers'. Germany must be liberated for no reason but to efface this insult and give him a proper mausoleum.

This is what you'll look like if you believe in cooperation over competition.
At @token2049, @IOHK_Charles asked, “How do we rewrite the economic, social, and political systems of the world?” The answer: together. Collaboration, not competition, will bring the next generation of users into a future built for everyone.

This image is inaccurate because the woman on the right isn't an overweight, crows-footed, brown-skinned, slant-eyed grazing animal, which is the modal reproductive partner for mere life in all of human history.

Understandable. The best you can do as a German founder of business is to just create it in the USA. That's at least viable if you don't need to directly produce goods.
Moving to Germany was the single biggest mistake I ever made in 12 years of running a business. I genuinely have no idea how this country even runs. My advice for people thinking of running a business from Germany? Run and never look back.
