like shut the fuck up. some of us have spent our whole lives abused for being gay due to those beliefs.
the ban were quite a surprise. As a Catholic, I know God does not condone homosexual activity. This does not mean I hate those people - I love every soul. I also do not look down on anyone based off of their race because I know God has made each one of us in His image.

I normally don't give my opinion on this type of thing anymore due to how charged it has become, but Leffen straight up abused his platform by spreading a verifiably false SA story about M2K, which harms actual SA victims.
Could've questioned him privately, but he didn't.
Leffen was fun to "hate" as a competitor ten years ago but after he stood up for survivors in 2020 (when most big names said nothing) hating on Leffen is just another alt-right dog whistle

Do you think the next step for Melee is decompiling it? Imagine what would be possible for us if we did. Several other communities like Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time have done it, and a big game like Melee would open a lot of doors.

Every local Melee region should have a code of conduct. The number of ppl who are banned in one region that run away to another to abuse lack of communication/widespread knowledge is bad and sometimes dangerous. But there's ZERO excuse to flat out ignore the ban when brought up.
