One of the biggest "I wish I had done that earlier" for me is lifting weights. Because the "when" matters a lot.

Disagree and commit instead. Don't choose the easy way out. Choose the extremes. You have better chance at winning.

Compromise reduces conviction. Lack of conviction leads to people not caring -> Mediocre products.

Meeting in the middle is often a sign of week leadership and easiest way to ship mediocre products. Don't meet in the middle.

It’s natural for engineers to feel defensive about AI writing code. But history shows the same pattern every time - Each leap makes programming more human. Each leap expands who gets to build. And those who embrace it early win.

Programming is just how we talk to computers. We’ve gone from punched cards and switches to assembly to C and JavaScript. Now, we’re in the middle of another shift - Writing code in plain English. Soon, maybe by voice. Eventually, even thought.

Don't treat it as a one-time reading. Treat it as an ongoing learning. Paper here:

It's 80 pages long; of course, it might not be the best use of time to read it all. What I'm doing is uploading it to ChatGPT and asking about interesting topics I find when skimming through the paper, from the table of contents or diagrams.

Everything you need to know about the prompting technique is in this paper. Some are useful, some are not. However, exploring different techniques helps you understand LLMs a bit better. (Link to the paper below).

Lot of great suggestions here. Oversimplified advice based on my experience: .- If you want to do photos, don't want to edit and want instagrammy stuff pickup Fuji XT series.- if you want to do photos and is serious, go for Nikon Z series. - Photos and Vidoes - Sony alphas.

I want a simple camera that beats my iPhone. The top picks for this came out in 2019 and cost $1,500+. Did that market completely die? . Is there anything you'd recommend I try?

This is true for a lot of non-fiction/self help books. It could be a blog post. But, there is value in reading because you are spending time immersing yourself in the idea any book try to convey. You can also do this by reading a blog and then thinking longer about it.

I’m convinced that anyone who says Thinking Fast and Slow is a good book is just trying to masquerade as erudite and sophisticated. Nothing against Kahneman, but that brick is literally 500 pages of word vomit that could’ve been said in two paragraphs.
