Zohran Mamdani's win is "proof of concept of how to fight fascism," says @naomiaklein. "Fascists want everybody to be the same. They celebrate conformity, uniformity, sameness, hierarchy. … The entire [Mamdani] campaign was a love letter to the diversity" of New York.

As northern Canada burns, southern Canada makes climate change worse by rushing through Bill 5 in Ontario and its big brother in Ottawa Bill C-5 - both will allow no regulations, special economic zones. Both bills crafted without First Nations input. 1 https://t.co/LpeqfiflGH

Book lovers sure are a special species! I wasn’t able to celebrate this award in-person last year, so it’s really special to be attending the @cpsa_acsp conference in Toronto this time around! @UBCPress #cdnpoli 🫶🏽📚✨#uvic

#ManitobaFires Climate change is not an "issue" for a word or two in #SpeechFromTheThrone. Climate crisis is a massive security threat. It is an emergency. @CanadianGreens

Having read BC’s Bill 15 which purports to ‘fast-track’ projects… My prediction: more lawsuits (from proponents and First Nations), more uncertainty, and poorer economic and environmental outcomes. #bcpoli
NEW - BC has introduced legislation to allow cabinet to fast-track permitting of major projects deemed by the @Dave_Eby gov to be of significant interest to the province, including private-sector projects. Establishes an "alternative" environmental assessment process as well.
