Hi. I'm one of the Black women with a tumor from this. ✋🏾 7yrs ago they prescribed it for severe menstrual cramping. I wasn't planning for children and I wanted the pain to stop, so I took it every 3 months. Tumor is benign, but it's given me other *inconvenient* issues.
In case you haven’t heard: Women are suing Pfizer in a class action lawsuit because the birth control shots (Depo-Provera) have been found to cause brain tumors. 1 in 4 women use this birth control. And Black women are prescribed it at double the national rate.

Little VA tip! If you see a project that really interests you but feel intimidated by the number of people who've auditioned, still try out anyway! Even if you don't get picked, the director may remember you and approach you later on! (happened to me rn lol) Believe in yourself!
