For the last six weeks, @AntonioCMorales and I tried the impossible: to rank every projected FBS starting QB, from No. 1 to No. 136. With intel from 40+ coaches and staffers across the country, we introduce the result: @TheAthletic’s College QB Tiers:

And Texas Tech lands another big time recruit: LaDamion Guyton, the No. 1 edge rusher in the 2027 class, with the help of a multi-million dollar contract offer:

Pulling Guyton, a Savannah native, out of Georgia is another example of Texas Tech’s growing recruiting prowess.

Archie Manning predicts Arch will be back at Texas in 2026 (not a huge surprise given how the Mannings have handled everything but still interesting):

Manning's revelation is largely unsurprising to those who have closely followed Arch’s recruitment and college career.

Texas Tech hasn’t won a Big 12 football championship. But it’s spending roughly $25 million on its roster — more than Ohio State spent on its 2024 title team — to change that. Inside Texas Tech’s ‘open checkbook’ and the school’s quest to rule the Big 12:

Happy Freaks List Day!.
Been doing the Freaks List for 20 years. This is the first time I’ve ever had three O-linemen from the same team on it. @AlabamaFTBL has three guys who bench over 500 pounds but the way they can move is even more impressive:

Joey Aguilar had no offers out of HS. He redshirted at a juco and nearly walked away. Didn't win the job immediately at his second juco or App State. So when Nico Iamaleava arrived at UCLA, it didn't faze him. On Aguilar's winding journey to Tennessee:

Aguilar entered the transfer portal in April and landed at Tennessee, creating a de facto quarterback trade between the Vols and Bruins.
