RESPONSE TO RECENT POST.I've recently been subjected to targeted harassment on X, making claims that are entirely untrue. This is deeply upsetting and stressful for me, my colleagues, and my family. I have reported the matter to Police Scotland and am now no longer active here.

I'm heartened by growing levels of awareness and the support I hear from academic colleagues is way higher and louder than it was even 5 years ago (10 years ago it was pretty inaudible). But we need to see many more researchers up for being bold, and supported to do so. [12/12].

Which is why we're _still_ discussing it, people are _still_ outraged or perplexed when they find out how it works, some baby steps are achieved, but the commercial publishers _still_ keep raking in the money. [11/12].

But until I have a majority academic community willing to tolerate the loss of access to 1000s of journals while I shift effort/funding towards innovation, and laudable alternatives like the example given (Open Libary of the Humanities) it is incredibly difficult to do. [10/12].
