Be wary of those who wish to defund the BBC and therefore reduce levels of public service broadcasting. Mistakes should be owned, reform is needed, but scrutiny must be defended. "If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear"

As the assisted dying bill moves one step closer to becoming law, I am reminded of one of my last speeches in Parliament. The status quo is so incredibly cruel. If you truly believe in personal responsibility and liberty, you should support people to end their pain with dignity.
