Thanks for the opportunity to tell my story! It was a pleasure sharing my love for folklorico and how it’s helped me keep connected to my heritage. Dancing has become a way to pass the culture to university students & create a sense of belonging. #Folklorico #Heritage @BBL_UTSA
For professor Sidury Christiansen and so many others, dance is about more than just feeling the music. As a child, ballet folklórico became part of her life, and to this day, she continues to dance and pass the traditions of folklórico down to her students. 🥰 Dive into her

This project will allow us to learn from indigenous communities from my home state and share this knowledge with US educators. What is more important is that the US teachers will integrate this conocimiento indígena into their teaching #decolonizing #scienceducation 🤗
