Ever wondered what happens if someone finds a “bomb” in public transport in India? No? Well, read on for a real sequence of events. Spoiler alert: I’m still here writing this, so clearly everything turned out well. The fun, as they say, is in the journey. Long THREAD. 1/47

Tens of millions of people will suffer here — closing of critical government agencies and services, healthcare, special services and schooling will go to hell, people being kidnapped off the streets, mass deportations happening, people in other parts of the world suffering.

Let’s not forget single issue people in Canada, Europe, India, etc. who don’t even have skin in the game and think it’s ok for “Americans to suffer” cos of their government’s actions. Meanwhile they all live under governments who aren’t doing anything about this issue either.🤷🏽♂️
Single issue voters are single-issuing because they say they are the only ones who care about children dying. What do you think is going to happen to the children here? Most of the resources they get to survive is through public schools. Because they’re not affordable privately.

It’s crazy how blind the far left is on this. For Bernie’s two losses, they blamed voters, Black people, the entire South, the weather, Pete Buttigieg. Not once have they blamed Bernie for his failures.
These people have to get over blaming the voters for their losses. It started when Hillary lost. There is nothing democratic about having a bunch of rich neoliberals constantly crapping on American voters.

Ok, I’ll bite. Can a journalist please do their job and tell us the *details* of the pressure and power that was applied?
As Trump basks in all the adulation and praise for getting the Israeli hostages out, Democrats should think long and hard about how Biden could have gotten this deal too but - for reasons we may never fully understand - chose not to exert the power and pressure he had to do it.

Surprising AI benchmarks in finance… Claude 4.5 Sonnet just set a standard for accuracy in some financial tasks… But it fell short to GPT in two key areas. More below 👇

The politics of Ta-Neishi Coates and the larger Left is basically “We can never have the world we want, but Democrats should be willing to lose every election fighting for it anyway so I feel validated.”

One of the worst uses for “AI”. Shut it down now!

Why does GBM matter 🤔 Auctions should reward everyone involved. GBM makes this possible by ensuring that value creation benefits participants and not just platforms.

“Pariyerum Perumal” was a stupid title? It is literally the name of the main character and has important undertones to caste dynamics. Dhadak 2 lost its “impact” when the main actor started kowtowing to the RSS. The Hindi version was decent but lost the rawness of the original.
Shazia Iqbal takes Mari Selvaraj's material, rises above that stupid title, and elevates it to such thundering emotional impact in Dhadak 2. Loved the crispness and the performances, esp Vipin Sharma & Anubha Fatehpura (who play Siddhant's parents), the leads and Saurabh Sachdeva

we do not have a normal left wing, not anymore imagine if the far left had stopped protesting Bush in 2004 and instead harassed Kerry at Democratic rallies if that sounds absurd on its face it's because it is; it's become customary to be too physically afraid to oppose the GOP

Scenes similar to those many decades earlier when the Russian Army entered Poland and Germany.

I used to be a night owl but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve become more of a person who doesn’t function at any time.

Oh no! She was a legend and that’s not said lightly in this case. RIP 😔
Diane Keaton, whose long, versatile career was indelibly highlighted by her Academy Award-winning performance as Woody Allen’s titular love interest in the actor-writer-director’s 1977 romantic comedy “Annie Hall,” has died. She was 79. https://t.co/s5A3frPphI
