On guy was doing these painfully slow bent over rows on the smith machine with a total weight of 40lbs. (smith machine bar weight is 20lb plus a 10 on each side) He was there the entire time I was doing my front squats and didn't increase the weight at all.

So my long held hot take is that the reason insider trading is bad is mostly because it incentivize intentionally creating volatility in the asset / market. If it was just about passively getting information early and profiting off of it, it wouldn't be that big of a deal.
