"never felt so sad and angry" You can't help but remember Jeanette Fitzsimons warning us about these impacts and her call for #climate action decades ago. #CycloneGabrielle
#MustWatch this emotional speech from Greens co-leader @jamespeshaw in the House today. “I don’t think I’ve ever felt as sad or as angry about the lost decades spent arguing whether climate change was real or not, caused by humans or not… because it is clearly here now.”

What a day of local climate leadership! @greaterwgtn set a binding emissions reduction target, @AklCouncil adopted a transport emissions reduction plan - and @CouncilHamilton has signed off on its own climate change strategy.

There were strong emotions and a standing ovation as Hamilton City councillors signed off on a "low-carbon city that... adapts to climate change".

A bit of talk about bikes. Thanks to a safe bike track, my 11 year old bikes to school now, his brother will join him in a few years. It will save us 7,200km a year dropping them. Less emissions, less congestion and healthy kids makes a lot of sense.
