Last night we moved a patient from one ward to another, so they could hold their partner’s hand as they died. Two hospital beds pushed together. Hands stretched out and holding each other. Emotional for everyone. We still provide the best care we can, despite everything.

I use MRI in lower back pain 🤭 I also get asked frequently how I manage the scan follow up consults & handle patient Qs So here is a mini-thread which gives a little comms synopsis - some may nod sagely, others may roll their eyes - that’s cool - no right or wrong.

Wrong on lockdown. Wrong on care homes. Wrong on Christmas. Wrong on Kent variant. Wrong on the Delta variant. Wrong on flights. Now making all-in bet on unprecedented strategy of removing all restrictions as virus grows exponentially. What could possibly go wrong?

@carolecadwalla @ClaireThurwood Does this answer your question? "Sajid Javid is the new Secretary of State for Health and Social Care. Alongside being an MP, last year Javid was hired as a paid senior advisor to the US bank JP Morgan. JP Morgan is a major player in private healthcare."

So grateful after taking my 88 year old Dad for his first Covid vaccine today: it was delivered to Dad sitting in the passenger seat of my car. Truly amazing use of ingenuity, thank you NHSL.#weloveournhs, #letsgetvaccinated
