I’ll add, since a few people emailed this to me, look at the date in the original NYT article. They were quoting police who ON THAT DATE said they had not determined if the case was a homicide.
I know this topic is emotionally fraught and I don't think any outlet — especially ours — should be free from criticism, but this is just poor criticism against colleagues who are working diligently to understand what is happening in real time.

It sounds like Musk is saying that international groups, like the UN or Red Cross, can use Starlink get online from Gaza. Unclear if those groups have terminals, or if Israel will try and stop them.
@DrLoupis No terminals from Gaza have attempted to communicate with our constellation. SpaceX will support communication links with internationally recognized aid organizations.

Wow, this new report claims that Israel’s intel agency (the Shin Bet) met at 4am on Oct 7, and deployed a team to the Gaza border ahead of what they believed would be a cross-border attack. The Israeli army did nothing.

Last week I interviewed Keren Schem, whose daughter, Mia, was kidnapped from the Nova music festival. Today, Hamas released a video showing Mia in Gaza. It’s the first time Keren has been able to confirm her daughter is alive since Oct 7.
