This wasn’t a national conversation on #SEND. They were only interested in talking to themselves, not listening. Terribly misjudged. Do give feedback if you attended. https://t.co/EWI5EVQV4t

Thank you for taking the time to attend the live event with the Schools Minister and panel of experts on Wednesday 3 December. We would welcome your feedback on how you found the event. Responses...
Your voice matters – and we're listening! We want this to be the biggest national conversation on SEND in a generation, to deliver better outcomes and make sure all children can achieve and thrive. Join us for the first in a series of online events this Wednesday 3rd December

🚨NEWS🚨 We are deeply concerned at the DWP's 'bank spying bill' coming into force today. A government agency that is notorious for punitive sanctions and bureaucratic faults that have cost lives, this will have dire consequences. https://t.co/cpuVx8wNYP

Banks risk a fine if they do not share information with government agents when asked

Note to reader - having been to tonight’s engagement event. The answer is nothing other than making parents more frustrated and/or alcoholics.

Beautiful resource with the artwork by @MMU_SCSW’s very own resident artist Zoe Cox.
Wednesday already! Another page from the Laughing Boy resource. What adjustments did @JSTheatre make (a lot)? Full resource here: https://t.co/81cLUpKxNj

💯 this… also with the Schools White Paper due ‘early 2026’ what impact is this latest ‘conversation’ going to have 🤦🏻♀️
@RealGeoffBarton @kennygfrederick There is nothing at all encouraging about launching a conversation no parents have ever asked for. Parents want what they have been saying for years, acknowledged and acted on and proper advice sought from organisations such as @ipsea

🌟 A huge thank you to Aitch, an incredible Patron, fundraiser and friend to the DSA 🌟 So many people are seeing what we have always known. Aitch is one of the kindest and most genuine people out there. His time on I’m A Celebrity has shown the world exactly who he is, and he

This was one of the many aspects I was really impressed with - how inclusive the theatre was. This should be the norm.

Parents of disabled children are spending as much as £400 a month getting their 16-18-year-old to school now that transport has been drastically cut by so many LAs. Now tell me that an EHCP is a “golden ticket”.

Starting a “conversation” in December for a White Paper due in January is performative nonsense. It doesn’t even allow time to analyse the responses, let alone allow them to influence what’s clearly already decided. And @educationgovuk has forgotten the easy read version again.

This has been and continues to be a wonderful project to be involved in. This is just the first output from the research, watch this space for more in due course... #LaughingBoy
So pleased to see some of our Laughing Boy project finished. What did people think of the play and how did it impact them?

The SEND system has become so adversarial, lament policymakers: the law must be at fault and must be changed. But wait: a simple but elegant solution - what if the correct decisions were taken first time and didn't have to be challenged? So damn crazy, it might just work.

The cruelty and inhumanity of these systems cannot be overstated.
@Motability turned up without warning and took back Connor’s car on the day of his funeral. These are not handouts.

I think you can get the measure of the deadness of someone's soul from the fact they kick up a stink about [checks notes] autistic kids wearing ear defenders
