It is a narrow mind which cannot look at a subject from various points of view. - George Eliot RTs not endorsements.

#Emmerdale had a lot going on for a Wednesday! Firing on all cylinders. Especially loved the sisterhood of Laurel and Nicola, Rhona flipping the on-switch to Graham's human mode and this gem from Kim.

Chloe nailed it. Invest in a couple and the payoff lands. #Emmerdale owes me a full box of tissues. All the more frustrating when a show spends months to blow a couple apart and fixes it with a quick “sorry” and puke nostalgia. They just stepped right over dramatic gold. #Swarla
I'll bang this drum forever but this is why investing in soap couples are so important. We care about Cain and Moira and their plight *because* there's 15 years of relationship history there! They're enduringly popular because #Emmerdale spent ages building a love story.

Every Sally/Carla/Lisa scene is basically a double portion of Swarla. It’s "X" minutes long but you have to watch it twice, once for Carla reacting to Sally and once for Lisa reacting to Sally. Canonically "2X" minutes of television. #swarla #swarlamath

*I am aware this is unhinged. I am mocking myself. Respect the scholarship. ** Regarding an earlier post: Pass/Past, it was early, volume was low. 🤷♀️ 2/2

In this essay I explore the symbolism of Lisa untucking her own ponytail while Carla is preoccupied with Connie, and the catastrophic implications for their love life, intimacy, and shared future. Such neglect merits a 12min two-hander to properly process the fallout. #Swarla 1/2

Scene 1: Carla bouncing rhythmically Scene 2: Carla bouncing rhythmically Scene 3: Carla being taught how to bounce rhythmically I suppose its on brand for a show that asked the audience to forget what it saw 2 months ago to also forget what they saw 2 minutes ago. #Swarla

Me, advising readable fonts + ADA-compliant contrast and getting asked for a 20-point justification that formally defends the concept of readability. "Because every time a cow farts you need to fill in a thousand forms." - Cain Zachariah Dingle #Emmerdale

Fully aware. Intentionally disengaged. Attention is currency, and not every spectacle earns it. Mute. Log off. Protect your peace. Not every fire needs your oxygen.

Arthur’s off-screen journey from a mild-mannered bit of pudding to nasty piece of work must’ve been very moving. Bold of #Emmerdale to replace his personality instead of developing it. 🤔 I am enjoying Graham's redemption arc though so it somewhat offsets Arthur's demolition arc.

“Corrie has become relentlessly miserable.” The issue is stacked trauma with little postmortem. Nothing is ever just one hardship, it’s escalation on escalation. When everything’s extreme, nothing feels grounded. Compelling… or exhausting? https://t.co/wQHUL0npYg

From scene to scene, it feels like Corrie hits every possible type of human suffering until my brain aches with it.

The signal-to-noise ratio is out of hand. I like: story analysis, debate with nuance, insightful takes, occasional disagreement I dislike: chronic negativity, tribal fan wars, repetitive outrage, low-effort posts Please suggest some follows to help me boost what I like. #Swarla

There is a strong possibility that Rhona without Graham was operating on low battery mode and we just watched her plug back into the mains. Let’s be honest, he’s a helluva power source for her. Someone remind me their ship name? #Grhona? #Emmerdale

I could go on about how no female CEO, dressed as if they just got out of bed and acting like they are on speed while talking to investors of a public company, could get away with this but the truth is nobody should.
Palantir Technologies CEO Alex Karp couldn’t stay seated in his chair as he proudly stated, “We kill people sometimes,” while speaking to shareholders. Maniac.

If vagueposting paid by the word, half the timeline would be billionaires by now. Facebook's “sigh… people disappoint you” called and it wants its attention-seeking status back.

So Megan kills David? He’s not even on the list ??? (Great post. Spit out a bit of my drink just now 🤣)

Divorce timeline? Seriously? The show fast-tracked Becky from arrest to sentencing like it was Amazon Prime and had Lisa Swain survive being rammed by high-speed cars TWICE and discharged before visiting hours ended. I can't be clutching pearls over divorce paperwork 😬 #Swarla

Maybe future episodes will circle back. (Carla starts having nightmares?) I hope they do. Because I want to enjoy the softness without mentally filling in therapy sessions that never happened on screen. /end
