Today a little boy asked to tell a joke during carpet time. We stopped everything and had 15 minutes sharing jokes. Most of the jokes were about toilets and they didn’t understand punchlines(Year 1/2) but we had fun and laughed for 15 minutes. It’s cheered me right up!

So proud of these two! Their articulation today explaining what autism is and how it impacts their lives was so impressive! I think you’re out of a job Mr McMahon.
Two absolute superstars. Led the school’s assembly about autism, answered lots of questions that other children had and managed brilliantly when the internet failed. Super proud of them both.

Today, Year 1 and 2 travelled back in time to start their Great Fire of London topic. They watched how quickly the fire would have spread back in 1666. 🔥🔥🔥

Today I left my car at work and walked home. No other reason than to get some exercise and fresh air. Already regretting how early I need to wake up tomorrow and how freezing I will be in the morning when I have to walk back to work 🤦🏻♀️

Completely non-teaching related but I need a horse! 🐎 I’m just not 100% sure where to look at genuine adverts. Does anyone have any advice? Or even better, a horse I can buy? 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Over the past few working days, I’ve rang some parents at home to check how their children are doing. They’ve given us (the whole school) so much praise about the learning we are providing. It’s the little things that really do make a difference.

My favourite part of every day! I was so pleased to see the key worker children today and hear about what they’d been doing in school. 🥰
Story time in Year 1/2. Children in school and at home listening to Miss Aylett read ‘Zog and the Flying Doctors’ while she works from home. Wonderful to see the creative ways children and staff are working #LoveLearnSmileBelieve
