Solidarity! Virginia's campus workers make our universities great, but many of them can't afford to pay rent or buy groceries. We are proud to stand with Virginia's higher ed workers in support of passing collective bargaining rights for ALL of Virginia’s public employees.

Meet Lauralyn, SEIU VA 512 member & longtime home care worker. When her client had a stroke and her pay stopped overnight, Lauralyn was evicted. Now she’s speaking out so no other caregiver is forced to choose between caring for someone else & keeping a roof over their own head.

Care work is work. And caregivers need care too. Our union sister Ravina Turner from @seiuhcmi shares what it’s like to be a parent caregiver and a home care worker, and why winning a union means winning stability, respect, and real support. https://t.co/1CgUkqvqkz

Myra, a nurse in Pennsylvania, shared how deeply painful it is to see the killing of Alex Pretti, especially seeing how he was trying to help someone. And in the midst of all this tragedy, we’re being told not to believe our own eyes. This adds another layer of harm, not just

Rena Bumbray-Graves cares for others every day. Because Republicans let the ACA tax credits expire, she’s now losing her own health care—along with millions of Americans. I asked her what this crisis means for her family. @seiuva512 @SEIU

Dr. King knew that healthcare justice is economic justice. Today, we recommit to the fight for a future where every home care worker has a living wage, a union, and the dignity they deserve. "Injustice in health is the most shocking and inhuman." #MLKDay #SEIUVA512
