Absolutely incredible news. Melvin Quinney was exonerated based on actual innocence. This is thanks to the hard work of many, including @SharonShattuck1 & Julia Marchesi, the amazing team at @TexasInnocence, and his son John Parker, who never gave up on making things right.

I read this piece months ago and did not realize how much it had changed me until this past week, when my mother was hospitalized with RSV. She is recovering, thankfully, but it was a rough road. I felt I was better able to advocate for her because of what @meropemills shared.
