10 of 11 races in the past two cycles have moved right, on average, by 11 points. D4 moved left, almost two 2 points, with unfavorable redistricting and the most money spent by conservatives of any district election, and almost no IE support from progressives.
2019-2023 Seattle City Council results shift: 55% Left/Stranger -> 53% Center/Times citywide Everywhere but D4 shifted right, esp D5 Right shifts: D5, Central District (3), W. Seattle (1), Beacon Hill (2), Downtown (7) Left shifts: D4, SLU (7), Madison Park (3), Green Lake (6)

Folks please please please make sure your vote was counted! It only takes a minute at the @kcelections website. And next year, always try to use a ballot dropbox!

NEW: Some Seattle voters noticed their ballots weren't being counted. They reached out to USPS and the county. Turns out one mail drop box was never emptied during the voting period, raising concerns about other mail-in ballots in close council races: https://t.co/2qTG6s7Cdk

Ballots dated before the Nov. 7 general election return deadline sat uncounted in one Seattle post office until voters complained to King County.

Not trying to be weird or anything, but check your ballot status. Today, @USPS turned over 85 uncounted ballots to King County Elections after discovering that one of their new-fangled boxes hadn't been emptied since mid-Oct. https://t.co/VqxzemWRLW

Still so grateful for all your kindness! Thank you friends! Please be sure to check if your ballot was counted. Too many issues with USPS not delivering ballots on time and not voluntarily reporting about it. Please don't skip this 30 second task. https://t.co/mEvNLdV2Ph

The Seattle Times opinion people thinks it's silly to mention that MAGA donors + corporate real estate are trying to buy the Seattle election. But not @RBReich-an actual intellectual. Here is the former US Secretary of Labor and Economic Policy Professor.
My former student, and progressive city council member, @LewisforSeattle is being attacked by the big money of MAGA Trump donors and national corporate interests. Don't let them get away with it, Seattle! Ballots are out now, make a plan to vote! And vote before November 7th!

Thankful to see the Democratic Party continuing to call on my opponent to cease deceptive campaigning. I can't believe the deluge of misinformation finding its way into my neighbors' mailboxes. The cancer of gaslighting is trying to infect even our own party. Stay strong Dems!

Last night we said goodbye to the Bryant Cafe. We are so sad to see this wonderful community gathering place, our favorite local breakfast-for-dinner spot, go.

The Democratic Party @kcdems which provides data support to both my campaign and my opponent's, publicly reprimanded my opponent for adopting MAGA-style disinformation techniques, lying about my platform, and not being forthright about her campaign finances.
Statement from the Chair regarding the Seattle City Council race in D4 regarding the negative disingenuous framing of our endorsed candidate Ron Davis @seattle4ron

My opponent didn't bother to engage with our library system over the course of this election. Maybe this is where she's planning to use "accountability" to fill in that $220M general fund hole.
