This is going to be a fantastic argument amongst friends on the propriety of universal injunctions. Please come have a beer and enjoy a spirited debate. And, despite what Anthony says, and because we are a democracy, if enough people want them to wield sticks, I'll bring some!.
If you're in the Detroit area you can come see me debate nationwide/universal injunctions with @PhilPucillo of Michigan State the evening of July 22. It's at a place called "The Old Shillelagh." Nevertheless, I don't believe we will use any sticks.

It is wild knowing that we are currently in the best two-year period in modern Michigan football history. JH has it figured out and these kids play like world beaters. I love it. Brings me true joy.

I started my career as a state intermediate appellate court staff attorney, served as a temporary clerk to a COA judge, and then clerked on a state Supreme Court before a a U.S. Circuit Court. Each of those experiences offered different things and each made me a better lawyer.

Not that anyone cares what I say on top of Raffi’s own recommendation, but 100% seconded. State court clerkships rule!.
Periodic reminder that state court clerkships, including both Supreme Courts *and* intermediate courts of appeals, are excellent #AppellateTwitter clerkships.

For what little it’s worth, I can safely say that clerking on the Michigan Supreme Court is the single most important thing I did in my career to get where I am today. Every young lawyer in MI should strongly consider this opportunity.
